Today is the day! Art work is hung, Derek is in town... all we need is you! 6pm tonight Nov 6th kicks off

We are Downtown Springville no where near Wallymart... if you get off the 219 turn left on to 39 ( main street) at the bottom of the Springville exit drive straight thru the first intersection. We are about a 1/2 mile down
on the Right side directly across from True Value Hardware.
There is a huge parking lot behind the building which you can get to from North Buffalo Street( before the VFA at the intersection by the vets) or Pearl street ( after the furniture store) both are right turns.

We are busy here finishing up the Gallery and the artwork is being framed, it is kinda feeling like Christmas is coming in November. Make sure you have it marked down on the calendar, you won't want to miss this show. Saturday, Nov.6th 6-9pm VANOVER FINE ARTS + DEREK HESS = Grand Opening Artist Reception "OF FISH AND FOWL".

For those who don't know Derek's work, it starting in the early 90's with the Rock Posters for shows at the infamous Euclid Tavern, Cleveland, OH with bands like Mule, Jesus Lizard, The Cows, Reverend Horton Heat...... and many others, the popularity of the posters grew. Derek began doing posters for the Ramones, White Zombie, Pearl Jam, and Godsmack to name a few. Derek has shown around the world with pieces in the permanent collections at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Louvre, Paris. He's been on Fuel TV and more recent LA Ink. Derek Hess Solo Show "OF FISH AND FOWL" draws closer, make sure you have this marked on your calendar - NOV 6th 6-9pm, it's also the Grand Opening night for VANOVER FINE ARTS.

VANOVER FINE ARTS

Welcome to VANOVER FINE ARTS a non-profit gallery in the heart of Historic Downtown, Springville, NY located at 49 E. Main Street in a 120 year old building. We are only 20 minutes from Ellicottville and 30 Minutes from Buffalo. VANOVER FINE ARTS is a contemporary art space supporting contemporary artists working in the visual arts. Our mission is to push the creative envelope in the visual arts; provide exhibition space to some of the best emerging, under-represented and established local, national and International contemporary artists; provide workshops, life drawing classes, activities and events that encourage public awareness, participation, and appreciation of the visual arts.

We are currently in the final stages of renovating the space. The Gallery's Grand Opening will be held November 6th, 2010 featuring new works by artist Derek Hess. More details about the show to follow so please check back soon.
